Wedding Dance Lessons

Terms & Conditions

 

1. Booking & Payment

All lessons must be paid in advance to secure your booking.
Your lesson time is reserved exclusively for you and cannot be held without confirmed payment.

Lessons may be booked individually or as part of a package.

 

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your lesson may be rescheduled without charge.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson will be charged in full.

 

3. DNS – Did Not Show

If a couple does not attend their scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be recorded as:

DNS – Did Not Show

The lesson fee will be charged in full and the lesson cannot be rescheduled.

 

4. CTL – Cancelled Too Late

Lessons cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time will be recorded as:

CTL – Cancelled Too Late

The lesson will be charged in full and cannot be rescheduled.

 

5. Late Arrival

If you arrive late, your lesson will still finish at the scheduled time in order to respect the following bookings.

 

6. Lesson Packages & Validity

Lesson packages must be used within 3 months of purchase or before the wedding date, whichever comes first.

Unused lessons expire after this period and are non-refundable.

 

7. Private Home Lessons

Private lessons can take place in your home or chosen venue, provided there is sufficient space to dance safely.

Couples are responsible for ensuring:

  • A clear dance area of at least 2m x 2m

  • A safe, non-slip floor surface

  • Reasonable access and parking where applicable

The instructor reserves the right to adapt or shorten the lesson if the environment is unsafe.

 

8. Travel Fees

Lessons may take place at our Portishead studio space or in your home.

  • The first 8 miles from central Portishead are included in the lesson fee.

  • Travel beyond this distance will be charged at £0.70 per mile.

Travel costs will be confirmed before your lesson is booked.

 

9. Music & Choreography

Couples are welcome to select their own first dance song, and choreography will be tailored specifically to you.

Please note:

  • Choreography is designed for personal use at your wedding.

  • Routines remain the intellectual property of the instructor and may not be reproduced, taught, or sold without permission.

 

10. Video Recording

Video recordings of choreography may be permitted for personal practice purposes only.

These recordings:

  • Must not be shared publicly, sold, or used for teaching purposes.

  • Remain for private rehearsal use by the couple only.

From time to time, short video clips or photographs may be taken for promotional purposes, but only with the couple’s permission.

 

11. Health & Safety

Couples participate in lessons at their own discretion and should inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations before the lesson begins.

Appropriate footwear is recommended to ensure safe movement during lessons.

 

12. Exceptional Circumstances

In genuine emergencies (such as illness or unforeseen circumstances), flexibility may be offered at the instructor’s discretion.

13. Lesson Format

Wedding dance lessons are designed as private sessions for either an individual or a couple, with a maximum of two students per lesson.

If you are interested in creating a group routine involving additional participants (such as bridal parties, family members, or friends), please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Group choreography sessions will be quoted separately depending on the number of participants, rehearsal time required, and location.

14. Package Cancellation & Refund Policy

Lesson packages are purchased as a discounted commitment to a series of private sessions

and are therefore non-refundable once the first session has taken place.

​

If you need to cancel your package before the first scheduled session, the following options apply:​

  • If a package booking needs to be cancelled before the first scheduled session, the following terms apply:

  • More than 7 days before the first scheduled session
    A full refund will be issued minus any payment processing fees incurred.

  • 5–7 days before the first scheduled session
    The package is 50% refundable, or the sessions may be rescheduled, subject to availability.

  • Within 5 days of the first scheduled session
    The package becomes non-refundable.

 

Unused Sessions

Unused sessions within a package cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

Packages remain valid for 3 months from the date of purchase or until the wedding date (whichever comes first).

 

Cancellation of Remaining Sessions

If a couple chooses to discontinue their package after sessions have begun:

  • Completed sessions will be charged at the standard single-session rate.

  • Any remaining balance will not be refunded.

 

Exceptional Circumstances

In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness, relocation, or cancellation of the wedding),

partial flexibility may be offered at our discretion.

 

14. Agreement

By booking a lesson, couples acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
